This Credit Union Awareness Month (October 1 to October 31) Salford Credit Union has joined forces with organisations across Greater Manchester for the ‘How’s your balance?’ campaign.
The campaign wants people to take part in a balancing act challenge to start a conversation about their financialwell being.

To be in with the chance of winning £25 can you share a photo with us on our Twitter and/or Facebook page with #HowsYourBalance showing what you can balance on your head? The most interesting wins!
Chief executive of Salford Credit Union, Sheila Murtagh, said they have joined forces with other organisations across Greater Manchester for the ‘How’is your balance?’ campaign so collectively thousands of people will be able to make their finances more stable.
She said: “Credit Unions look to rebuild communities, support local people and lend responsibly. The pandemic has caused many people to feel financially unstable and we want to help with that.
“Addressing your financial wellbeing is so important to making all areas of your life more balanced. It is a serious topic but we also want to have a bit of fun while doing it. Our staff have been taking on the How Is Your Balance challenge and I am looking forward to seeing how members of the public get involved. The best photos will be in with a chance of winning a £25 shopping voucher.”
More than 4000 people are members of Salford Credit Union – with a total of 65,000 people across Greater Manchester credit unions.
Salford Credit Union has £2 million available to lend toSalfordiansand the organisation has saved its members at least £1 million in interest charges.
